2008 White Christmas in Utah

Wow! What a special Christmas present!!! We had all but one of our grandchildren with us. This is our newest little guy ZJ!!!
We had quite the eventful trip we had SNOW all the way form the Gorge to Ronnie and Jessica's. It took about twice as long as usual to get here but we made it safe and sound. Santa even found Thomas and Maddison in the Condo in Midway City. We came on to Ronnie's and had a late dinner and back to the condo later Christmas night. Friday we came back and ended up putting Ron in the hospital with Pnuemonia and a heart arythmia so they sent him to the hospital in an ambulance. He spent 2 nights and lots of tests later he flew home to go to work and back to the Dr. today. I stayed in Salt Lake to spend the week with our ZJ, Ronnie, and Jessica and go home in time to go back to work.
Alyssa and Brandon and Sage went down to somewhere by Oakland the 23rd and headed back home on Christmas Eve and got stuck between Redding and Dunsmuir on I-5 and couldn't get on home. They spent the night in the semi with Cheetos, Doritos, and Grandma's cookies for dinner thanks to a little convience store that opened up for the stranded drivers to get something to eat.
My little Sage called me and asked gramma to come and get her and broke my heart but we were stuck in our own snow storm. Brandon found 2 little presents we had sent up the week before he had not seen hidden the truck so she had a coloring book and a pen to color with so she was a little happier. Uncle Jim met them at Mt Ashland the next day and helped them put on the chains to get on over the pass and get home to find Santa had come to Sage too! Crazy but it all worked out and we were all safe and blessed to be together at least by telephone for Christmas. The Lord loves us and keeps us safe if we put our trust in him.

Merry Christmas to All and To All A Happy New Year!!!

This is the family at Thanksgiving all but
Alyssa. Brandon, and Sage!!!

Wow it's been a long time a coming!!! He is finally here and we are so blessed! We now have 2 of each boys on each end to take care of the girls in the middle!!! Being Grandparents is even better than being parents because you can sit back and watch your children enjoy their children and love them both. The only downer to it is not living close enough to see them all of the time. We are so excited to see our little man on Christmas he is the best gift we have ever gotten. I think I now have a feeling of the love our Heavenly Father must have for us, when he shared his son with the world so we all might return to live with him someday. I am so thankful for that sacrifice he made in our behalf.

We wish all of you the Merriest of Christmas's this year!!! We LOVE you and hope the New Year is good to you as well!!:)

Crazy Couple Weeks

WOW what a couple weeks!!!!! Ron got laid off Friday before Thanksgiving and went to the Union hall Monday before Thanksgiving and got sent out and spent 2 hrs getting orientated and the next 2 days getting OSHA training. Then he acutally worked 6 days and got laid off yeasterday. He went to the Union Hall again to day and went out this afternoon and got hired by another company and is going tomorrow to the City Center again for more Orientation from this company but not the OSHA stuff and is at the theater instead of at one of the towers at the city center project. CRAZY!!!! Ronnie and Jessica called last night and told us they were taking the baby C-Section at 5:30 on Tues the 16th so we are soooooooo excited we can hardly stand it and can't go up to Utah until Christmas or right after as Ron doesn't know what he is working yet, but is working this Sat and thinks he will be working Sat's a lot hopefully not between the holidays though. Jen has Christmas Eve off she found out and Fri after so we could go for a long week-end at least if Ron can get it off. We just filed the papers on the house last Friday and we told them Ron had a new job and now we will have to tell them he has another one, but they said if he is making the same money and still working for the Union it is cool, I hope and we should close by the end of the month. We were told that last month, too but they took the money out for the VA appraisal this time though so here hoping. I had to go back in today for another mamogram they thought they had seen a strange place but the films today were confirming nothing so I am clear until next year yea they sure do like to squish them!!! Ron bought me pink carnations to congratulate me for passing the test LOL. I go in for an ultrasound on the bladder and kidney the 21 and a cystoscope on the 8 so we will see if I pass all those too. Just to much fun lately.
